Curtis Curtis Smith was born in Yarrawonga Victoria Australia and is the mother of Carmencita Ojales who is a Filipina from Bolinao Pangasinan. Her father, James Ernest Curtis-Smith, married Ojales back in 1982. Her younger sister, who is also an actor, is her father. From their father's perspective, they had a half-sister called Clare who passed away in 2007 from a heart disease when she was 4 months of age.
